I have had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Lacey this past 2008-2009 academic school year during my reign as Miss Central State University. With great love she took on the responsibility of becoming  my mentor. She wrapped me up in confidence when I lacked self- assurance and in my days of challenges she sung praises through her encouragements.  This woman, who is full of grace and wisdom, has inspired me to live a life filled with courage, vigor, and endurance. She has taught me how to reach and teach the lost. Through her sacrifice many young women have discovered their life's' purpose. Those that she has touched will never forget the impact  of prayer and guidance she has given them.  Through seminars, socials, and spiritual inspiration her presence will not be elapsed. "Mrs. Scharita L. Lacey has been a strong influence in my life.  She and I crossed paths in 2005 when she became the advisor of High Praise, Wright State University's praise dance team, in which I lead for two years.  Shortly after, I realized that her role as my advisor and overseer was intended to be more.  She was destined to become my life mentor.  Scharita came into my life when the time seemed most appropriate.  I had experienced some rough trials and needed someone to lean on while I was away from home.  It seemed my life had turned upside down; I became lost in myself and needed personal and spiritual guidance. I thank her for allowing God to use her to help bring restoration into my life.  I believe, when I was at my lowest point, she was sent to RESCUE ME!  She has never judged me and has loved me through some of my biggest struggles, as well as my greatest accomplishments.   

Over the years, Scharita has helped build my natural character as well as my spiritual gifts.  Her spirit of integrity, perseverance, and zeal for God's people inspires me to provide personal mentoring and guidanceto other young women, and be a support system to help strengthen their relationships with God.  Her passion and drive to be all that God has created her is what the essence of a woman should be, and I am proud to say that she has impacted my life tremendously."

Minister Scharita Lacey a "passionate exhorter of women" serves in the "Heart of God" Women's Ministry at Greater Grace Temple Church in Springfield, Ohio as one of the G12 (Government of Twelve) Women Leaders on the Women's Board and as a Life Group Leader to the women. She assists Pastor Monica Logan in the planning and development of events to unite the women, sheparding, teaching, training, empowering, mentoring, nurturing, and discipling women in her congregation and surrounding communities teaching them to have a passion for the lost, to seek God daily in worship, and compassion in service to one another www.ggtspringfield.org.
